Filters/Canisters/Cartridges
Air purifying respirators use filters, cartridges or canisters to purify the ambient air that contains gases, fumes or particulates that are not (IDLH*), but are irritating or can cause damage over long-term exposures. These use various filter media, including carbon, activated carbon or pleated paper filters to removed contaminants or particulates.
